Miscellaneous Conventions


This is a short (long) list of small conventions that appear to support fantasy
role playing. We will let this list run up to 1985ish as the conventions really
started to explode after that point. However, we may edited this down date even
earlier if we can not get a handle on those...

 

Atlanticon '84- August 3-5. At Towson State University, Baltimore, Maryland.

British Columbia Festival of Games BC FOG- Feb 26-27 1983. RP
Game Masters designed some D&D for the tourney later published and
sold in local hobby shops. These include
- 'In Search of the Emerald Door'
- 'Keltek'
- 'Servant of Stawitchi'
- 'Tower of Stawitchi'


Conclave III- Nov. 3-5, 1978. Metro Ramada Inn,
Romulus, Michigan. Mostly Sci-fi.

Crusader Con II- Mar 4-6, 1983. Metro State Campus in
Denver, Colorado. Hosted by MSC Gamer's Club.

Dallcon- June 4-6. At Dunfey Hotel Dallas, Dallas, Texas.

Gengis Con V- June 17-19, 1983. Denver, Colorado.
Hosted by the Denver Gamers Association.

Gengis Con VI- June 15-17, 1984. Stundent Union, Univ of Denver; Denver, Colorado.
Hosted by the Denver Gamers Association.


The Great Canadian Games Adventure '79- May 18-21. Held at the
Uni. of Ottawa, Canada. Special guest was Gary Gygax.

Fantasy Worlds Festival- Mar. 28-29, 1983. Oakland Airport Hyatt
Hotel, Oakland, California.

Neo-Con II- Mar 18-19, 1983. University of Akron in Ohio.

Tippacanoe (and Fantasy Too) Convention- May 4-6 1979. Held at
W. Lafayette, Indiana. Attended by Don Greenwood, Lou Zocchi amongst others.
