Jim Holloway wants to call next week to discuss some ideas that he is interested in pursuing with his future work! Imagine one of the original TSR artists needing my opinion? I would have never thought as much 20yrs ago. Cool

Plus, Fred Fields called me last week. A painting he sold me was returned and he somehow come up with my phone number? Maybe PayPal? Anyhow, I didn't expect him calling and i was awfully rude at first. That was totally embarrasing.

Cool. Hopefully, we will have more of this when we start interviewing these muchachos!

I feel comfortable talking to him now that the paintings finally arrived via his sister in another state. She really dropped the ball on us. I paid for this stuff over two months ago and I finally got them in the mail. It was just a wee bit disconcerting there for a little bit.

Finally spoke with Jim on the phone this weekend. We were on the phone for an hour and a half. He wanted to discuss the idea of making prints, direction of his work, possibilities for freelancing, etc. A very nice guy and quite an extraordinary event for me. It amazes me someone from TSR days would actually ask me for advice.

Well, I was very frank with Jim. I think the idea of prints/minis is a bad idea as a business model. I think he should pursue a main concept ala Dean Morrissey with his childreds book themes. Not only is he making books that sale but he is also making very expensive paintings that transalte well to prints.

Jim has a long productivity career with TSR that is very different than other artists. I see Jim locking into a different genre and running with it to cash out.
