Oh. And there's a lot of well-known collectors already bidding on it ($300+).

Anything stupid coming from US usually appears in France 20 years later, especially TV games...
Btw, now there is big money Wink at stake, we must clarify the rules : is the winner the one closer to the final price, or the closer under the final price ?

I suppose a Price is Right champion would have bet $791...

This could be a funny game to keep when the site will be public. Only one bet at a time, on a item decided by admins. To keep things fair, bets should be private, and all revealed at once, when the game is over (somewhere like 48 hours before the end of the real auction, I would say).

It takes ya'all 20 years to appreciate our lunatic housewife daytime TV shows? Laughing

I would say whoever is the closest bidder wins.

True that on private bids because if I bid $2 ....two other guys will come in with $2.01 and $1.99.

OK, closest bidder wins. Private bids means, we need a bet admin for that round who takes the bets but cannot bid himself? Are gamblers allowed to bid?

IMO, gamblers should be allowed to bid. That's only a game, after all...
Furthermore, I think that snipers won't be willing to show in what range their max bid will be, and so will probably refrain to bet on items they're really interested in.
It should be forbidden for all admins to play, at least in public. We still can play in the admin thread.

This probably deserves a web page to bet and store the results. If the site is successful, I'm sure none of us want to check manually a hundred of mails d'oh!

METOO!

... That's a 2 to 1 majority decision. Overruled, Christophe!

I am gonna call this one at $790

Oh, rarely have we all been so far away from the ending amount with our guesstimations... ending at $440. shocked

I guess, that makes me $10 richer. Cool, I'll invest that in the RPGA Gazetteer. Cool

I think there are a few factors that kept this one within reach. A couple would include rare items that popped up for auction after this one began. Another factor would be the impending sale of Kuntz items.

Add in a seasonal. Summer is finally here so the sales start to slag off.

I have something better than rat stew for you, Scribe. It lies here in front of me on the computer table. It is a small item I know you will be interested in. But I will send it as a surprise to you in the next few days. Cool

Let me know when you got it!

My Paypal address is my regular email address (not the one at tomeoftreasures.com).

1) Ok, I will try to put another sample page for the bid game...

2) I owe $5 to Ralf too (same question here about the address to use...)

3) I think condition may be the first reason for this quite low winning bid. My 2 cents.

This one might be a wild ride. It's a totally stupid auction, which could produce totally bizarre results.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=44112&item=5200861052

Rob Kuntz' original dice.

How about that one, o Master of Gamble? Or Frank's B3...
